Vasectomy Consultation & Procedure Information
Both the vasectomy consultation and procedure are fully covered by Alberta Health Care.
A consultation appointment is required before booking the procedure. During this visit, Dr. Lohlun will explain how the procedure works, review the benefits and aftercare instructions, answer any questions you may have, and discuss the available premium upgrade option.
Out-of-Town Patients
If you live more than one hour outside the city, a referral from your family physician or a walk-in clinic is required.
Once we receive your referral, we will schedule your consultation and procedure on the same day to minimize travel.

You may also choose to register online for your vasectomy by completing a slightly longer form. This helps reduce paperwork during your clinic visit. Regardless of the option you choose, we will contact you to schedule your consultation first, followed by your procedure.
