Both the vasectomy consultation and procedure are covered by Alberta Health Care.
A consultation appointment must be completed before booking the procedure. At that visit, Dr. Lohlun will explain how the procedure works, review the benefits and aftercare, address any questions you have, and go over the premium upgrade option.
For out of town patients (lives more than 1 hour away), we require a referral from your family doctor or any walk-in clinic will do as well.
Once we receive the referral, we will book you in for a consultation & procedure at the same time to save your trip.

You can also go ahead and register online for your vasectomy if you have a couple of minutes to complete a form that is a bit longer. This will save some paperwork later in the clinic and maybe a tree as well. Either way we will call you back to schedule a consult first, and then your procedure.
